/in What's On/by JCMWeston Sub edge Village Hall will be holding their annual Christmas Bazaar again this year on Saturday November 26th, but with a combination of all the traditional attractions and some new. Yes in particular we want to attract families and friends we will even have a Bouncy Castle for the children and a special area set aside for children to create their own Christmas decorations.
If you have visited the bazar before you will see all your old favourite stalls including festive gifts, cakes, chocolates, bottle stall , games, tombola etc., the big attraction this year will be the new stalls designed to include the whole family.
Finally we would appeal for your help you can either come along on the day, or donate some old Christmas decorations for the children’s craft table or last but not least we need bottles for the bottle stall. All contributions can be left at Hartwell’s or the Village Hall when open or with Sue Prestage at AppleGarth Stratford Road or John Measey at Orchard House, Friday Street. Finally if you want to arrange a collection or to volunteer to man a stand, just call 07725 794200
Do not forget our Bazaar is free to attend and refreshments are available
Looking forward to seeing you at the Bazaar

Big Community Switch
/in What's On/by JCMGloucestershire County Council wants to support people in their quest to get a better deal for their energy.
The council is concerned about the impact that energy prices have on Gloucestershire residents, particularly older people and those living in fuel poverty. That’s why it is participating in the Big Community Switch to help people get cheaper gas and electricity by working together. The scheme is available to residents on dual and single tariffs and those with pre-payment meters.
The Big Community Switch is bulk buying – if a large number of people want to change supplier together they are likely to get a better deal than just one person shopping around and switching on their own.
The more households that register their interest in switching, the more attractive it becomes for an energy supplier to offer a competitive price and the more likely consumers are to achieve significant savings.
The closing date to register for the ‘Summer’ Big Community Switch is 16th May. If you have registered for a previous auction you can still benefit from the auction offers however you will need to sign up again.
You can Register Online or by phoning the council on 01452 42 57 57 between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday. By doing this, you are under no obligation to switch supplier.
